Dishwood is a fund focused on supporting early-stage founders from the Stanford community. The fund was created to help strong ideas on campus turn into real companies. In addition to providing capital, we aim to connect founders to students, alumni, and a growing support network. The fund exists to give them a practical first step. Cheques range from $5K to $25k.
Founders can pre-pitch directly through the form below. We review each submission carefully and, if there’s a strong fit, we’ll schedule a meeting to discuss further.
The investment fund is an alternative to typical growth ETFs, focused on early-stage tech and innovation across Silicon Valley.
We believe in vertical progress and real creativity — not copy-paste solutions. We value work that builds something new instead of just improving what already exists.
We run a dual model: part venture fund, part investment fund. This lets us support early-stage founders and also invest directly in breakthrough technologies shaping the future.
Dishwood Ventures VC was started at Stanford by Romir Jain, who’s a student there. We work closely with Stanford founders and review many early-stage startups emerging from the campus. We think Stanford is one of the best places in the world for new ideas, and we’re proud to be part of that community. Many of the companies we meet are built in dorm rooms, research labs, or student clubs, especially in areas like AI, climate, fintech, and deep tech — and we take those ideas seriously.
We offer a comprehensive range of investment banking services, including capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory services. Our team works closely with clients to develop customized solutions that meet their specific needs and objectives.
